An eight-day bird photography expedition to the steppe lakes of Korgalzhyn, built around floating hides: the photographer stands in waders under a floating tent with a gimbal-mounted camera for water-level shots of flamingos, waders, terns and grebes. Field time follows the light and groups are four to six.
