Puffin & Sea Eagle Boat Safari – Bleiksøya (Andøya)

Operating for 25+ years from the fishing village of Bleik on Andøya island. Bleiksøya — a perfect cone-shaped rock rising 160m from the sea — hosts 80,000 puffin breeding pairs annually arriving 14 April and departing 10 August with near-clockwork precision. Old fishing boat 'Laura' (max 12 persons) takes photographers right around the base of the rock at water level. Guide Karl provides commentary. 15 white-tailed eagles hunt the colony — eagle swooping on puffins possible. Also 6,000 kittiwake pairs cormorants razorbills guillemots and grey seals. 90-minute trip. Price approx 500 NOK/adult. Book via email well in advance — completely sold out most summer days. Midnight sun in late May–July creates extraordinary all-night photography conditions.
