Plitvice Lakes Wildlife Photography & Landscape Tours (Croatia's most famous NP)

Inside Plitvička jezeraby Luka Vunduk Photography (Canon Ambassador) / local NP guides

Plitvice Lakes National Park — Croatia's oldest and most famous national park (UNESCO WH since 1979). For wildlife photography it's best known for its extraordinary landscape photography (16 cascading emerald-turquoise lakes connected by waterfalls and wooden boardwalks) alongside possible wildlife sightings of bear lynx wildcat capercaillie. Luka Vunduk (Canon Ambassador) leads Croatia and Slovenia photography tours including Plitvice; depth of landscape composition knowledge essential here. Early morning visits best for wildlife avoiding tourist crowds. Autumn (September–October) provides colourful forest backdrop with fallen-leaf photography on the lakes. Winter (December–February) gives icy frozen waterfalls photographically unique. Combined with Velebit Mountains (1 hour west) for a combined landscape + wildlife photography itinerary.
