A mountain hut at 2,588 m in the Lauson basin above Valnontey, in the heart of Gran Paradiso National Park, about 2.5 hours' walk up. The Lauson lakes just above the hut are among the most reliable places in the Alps to see and photograph ibex at close range, and marmots are common around the hut.
