Glenn Vermeersch — Belgium's most celebrated individual hide operator. 11 purpose-built photography hides in and around the Kalmthout Heide (a magnificent heathland nature reserve near the Dutch border north of Antwerp). All hides use one-way mirror glass allowing completely natural bird behaviour. Maximum 3 photographers per hide (exceptions: Hut 4 max 5; Hut 6/9/10 max 2). Cost: €70/day/person excl. 21% VAT; full week €420/person. Each hut has dedicated target species ranging from kingfisher (pond hide) to sparrowhawk (Hut 7 — currently the most active) goshawk and woodland passerines.
