Ruff Photography Hides – Liminka Bay

Fixed shore hides on the edge of Liminka Bay — Finland's most important wetland and internationally recognised Important Bird Area (200 species annually 160 breeding). Four 2-person hides beside a shallow flood pool. Low-level and elevated shooting positions — rail floor mounting and raised shelf. Ruffs arrive early May in migration with spring courtship and lekking until early June (3-week season). Exceptional reflection shots possible on calm evenings. Morning sessions from 30 min before sunrise; evening sessions 17:00 to midnight. Part of Finnature's self-drive 'Best of May' package combining black grouse lek and eagle owl hide.
