This is the former Kongsfjord Gjestehus, a group of restored fishing-village houses on the Veines peninsula. Skua Nature, a wildlife and photo-tour company, now runs it as the base for its Varanger trips. Guests photograph Arctic birds and mammals on guided outings and from Skua's photo hides, and a gyrfalcon nesting site can be reached on foot along the Veines headland.
