A long-running birding lodge at about 2,000 m near Cosanga on the eastern Andean slope, two hours from Quito airport. Hummingbird feeders sit off the deck, and the reserve is known for the unidentified 'San Isidro mystery owl' that often hunts by the lodge lights.
